Kuda Tapatapa, Founder

I am an applied sport and exercise scientist as well as a qualified strength & conditioning coach. After struggling with severe depression during university, I founded BoundFitness with the goal of promoting the mental health benefits of exercise. My experience ranges from working with professional athletes to students struggling with various mental and physical illnesses.

Growing up I trained as a dancer and I qualified as a fitness instructor in 2018. I have always enjoyed exercise as a way to relax and switch off. I love strength training, HIIT, and going to classes such as spinning and yoga. Exercise has helped me to cope with stress and anxiety and it has been so rewarding to help other people fall in love with exercise too, experiencing the positive effects it has on mental wellbeing for themselves.

A lot of progress mentally & physically!

I USED TO HATE THE IDEA OF GOING TO CLASSES, I FEARED THAT I’D BE THE WORST IN THE ROOM AND EVERYONE WOULD BE JUDGING ME. BUT I GENUINELY FOUND MY FIRST BOUND CLASS SO REFRESHING! ALL MY PREVIOUS WORRIES WEREN’T THERE AT ALL AND I JUST ENJOYED BEING IN SUCH A POSITIVE AND ENCOURAGING SPACE. THESE CLASSES REALLY BUILT MY CONFIDENCE AND I STARTED TO SET MYSELF GOALS EACH WEEK, SEEING A LOT OF PROGRESS MENTALLY & PHYSICALLY! I’M HAPPY TO GO BY MYSELF NOW, WHICH I NEVER SAW HAPPENING BEFORE I STARTED.

I AM ABSOLUTELY LOVING THE BOUNDFITNESS CLASSES! I HAVE ESPECIALLY APPRECIATED THEM OVER LOCKDOWN WHEN I FOUND MY MOTIVATION LAGGING- HAVING MORE STRUCTURED EXERCISE TIMES THROUGH SCHEDULED ZOOM CLASSES PUSHED ME SO MUCH MORE THAN FOLLOWING YOUTUBE CHANNELS. THE INSTRUCTORS ARE LOVELY AND SO ACCOMMODATING FOR A RANGE OF ABILITIES.

A great little community

I COULDN’T RECOMMEND BOUND FITNESS’ ONLINE WORKOUTS ENOUGH! THEY REALLY HELP ME TO FEEL GREAT ABOUT MYSELF AND ABOUT EXERCISE AGAIN. THE CLASSES ARE A GREAT MIX OF HIGH INTENSITY BURNERS AND FEEL GOOD STRETCHES FOR ALL FITNESS ABILITIES. GOING FORWARD, DESPITE GYMS OPENING I WILL CONTINUE TO JOIN IN WITH THE HIIT AND PILATES CLASSES. THE CLASSES ARE ALSO SUPER FRIENDLY AND I FEEL PART OF A GREAT, LITTLE COMMUNITY.
